Time to Ponder

What are my previous choices in life? I asked myself..
I chose to stay with the man I love the most
No matter who he is..no matter what his flaws are
I was blind and deaf
I chose to look at to what I wanna see
I chose to listen to what I wanna hear
I chose to be distant from friends as he needed more my attention
I pretended to be strong, but the more vulnerable I became
He became dependent on my strength, of which I tolerated
I became self-less only to find out that I was all alone in this endeavor
It has always been only me from the start
He was there for no reason at all.
